Biography

My career in direct response fundraising started while I was working for the League Against Cruel Sports in the late 1980s and the organisation started a direct mail fundraising programme.

In the early 90's I started work at a large direct marketing agency called WWAV during which time I worked with many non profit clients including The Salvation Army, NSPCC, Oxfam, RNLI, CRUK, Friends of the Earth, Shelter, RSPCA, The Labour Party and African National Congress. In 1999 I spent six months in the Netherlands, setting up the creative department of a Dutch WWAV group agency, WWAV van Rooij.

A couple of years later I left to take up the position of Creative Director of Whitewater, a specialist charity DM agency. I left Whitewater in 2011 to set up my own business,
Nick Couldry Ltd.

In my spare time I enjoy long distance lightweight hiking, geocaching, photography and model making. I volunteer as an Explorer Scout leader and am a qualified instructor in archery and small bore rifle shooting.
