Sometimes you find the perfect signatory for a fundraising letter. In this case, it was someone who had already benefitted from a grant from Animal Free Research UK – and shared the philosophy of the orginisation and its supporters.

 

Using this researcher to make the ask for money to pay for another researcher like him worked well, and something he said about 'creating a spark' allowed me to bring a little bit of Christmas imagery into what wasn't a particularly seasonal ask.
