SolarAid student leaflet

This was a different project to work on – selling a product.

SolarAid sells solar lights at cost to people in remote communities with no access to electricity, who otherwise would have to rely on expensive batteries for torches or dangerous kerosene lamps. African families want their children to succeed in their exams and these solar lights allow the children to study during the evenings. This prompted SolarAid's unique distribution model – selling their product through schools.

This leaflet (translated into the local language) was handed out to children at school with an order form, which they would give to their parents and hand back to their school with the payment.

Unsurprisingly, children in areas using solar lights show a big improvement in educational achievements.
